David Way Pump Station
The David Way Pump Station, constructed in 1969, had exceeded its life expectancy and was badly deteriorated. The pump station served treated water to 93 properties with a single pump for both domestic demands and fire flows. The fire flow capabilities were inadequate and the system lacked a back-up pump.
The project entailed replacing the pump station and generator with a pre-manufactured pump station that includes two standard flow pumps and a separate fire flow pump. The new pump station and generator will provide system redundancy and better system reliability.
The Pump Station and generator were delivered to the site and connected to the existing foundation and piping in March 2023. PG&E relocated electrical lines and switched power over. Project is complete.
