GM Newsletter - April 2026

Two workers in hard hats are installing a safety sign by a canal, outlining safety rules like no swimming and no fishing.
Water is flowing again through NID’s canals. These flows are essential for delivering water across the District, but they are cold and can be deceptively fast. Please remember to stay out of canals and stay safe.

Welcome to the April 2026 edition of the General Manager’s Newsletter. Read on to learn about what is happening at the District this month.

In this edition:

  • Understanding the water rate process: what it means for you
  • NID Turns 105: join the “105 Years Forward” celebration
  • Canal safety: Stay Out & Stay Alive
  • Public hearing set for the Urban Water Management Plan update
  • Reservoir storage at 114% of average
