This newsletter is a valuable resource to stay up to date on projects underway, the Plan for Water effort, water storage levels, water conservation, and all things NID.

Redistricting process begins: interactive draft maps available for viewing
Redistricting is the process of adjusting the division boundaries to ensure equal populations in each. NID began to discuss redistricting options during its Jan. 26 Board of Directors meeting. View the draft maps through links in the newsletter.
Storm wrap-up with photos
During one of the most severe snowstorms in recent memory, NID crews made sure water service remained constant. This took working through inclement weather, cutting through many downed trees to access facilities, and continual manning and refueling back up emergency generation equipment.
Plan for Water summary of workshops
January 11, 2022: The presentation included an overview of NID’s service area, and detailed the District’s water distribution system and operations.
December 7, 2021: The focus was on NID’s mountain water system, starting with the headwater watershed and moving downstream through reservoirs and waterways.

- Bowman Lake precipitation chart: 43 inches as of Jan. 19, 133% of average
- NID Reservoir Storage: 97% of 8-year average, 68% of capacity
- Water conservation: 13% improvement over last year
