NID Campgrounds at Rollins Lake are closed due to River Fire
(Grass Valley, Aug. 5, 2021) Due to the River Fire, the Nevada Irrigation District (NID) campgrounds at Rollins Lake have been evacuated and are closed, effective immediately. This includes Orchard Springs, Long Ravine, Peninsula and Greenhorn campgrounds.
All day-use and boating access also have been closed at Rollins Lake.
The closures are in effect through Aug. 15, with a potential re-opening on Aug 16.
Scotts Flat Lake campsites will remain open for now.
Nevada Irrigation District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
