NID Postpones October 28 Water Planning Projections Board Workshop
October 21, 2020
(Grass Valley, CA October 21, 2020) – The Nevada Irrigation District (NID) today announced that it has postponed the October 28 Board Workshop on its Water Planning Projections to a future Board Meeting. The public comment period, originally scheduled to end on October 9, 2020, was twice extended to accommodate stakeholder requests and ended on October 19, 2020.
The Board agenda item has been postponed to give the District adequate time to review the large volume of comments received and prepare for a future Board meeting.
The recently released 2020 Water Planning Projections will be used by the District in part to prepare a number of reports such as the Urban Water Management Plan and the Agricultural Management Plan, both required by the State of California to be submitted every five years and are due in 2021.
