Stage 7 – Hydrology and Hydrography
Outcome: This stage will seek to determine design assumptions, principles and standards of data-driven modeling as it relates to the hydrology and hydrography of NID’s water systems while reconfirming previous efforts of FERC re-licensing models and determining appropriate climate and drought scenario analysis.
Stakeholder involvement: In this stage, stakeholders will provide input on the hydrology and hydrography model design assumptions, principles and standards. Stakeholders will also provide input regarding the adequacy and accuracy of previous FERC modeling efforts as well as climate change and drought related scenario development.
Stage 8 - Demand
Outcome: This stage will seek to determine the District's future demand scenarios as they pertain to land use designations, growth projections, water use trends and environmental & regulatory demands.
Stakeholder involvement: In this stage, stakeholders will seek to provide input on future demand scenarios as it pertains to land use designations, growth projections within the District’s sphere of influence, future water use trends including efficiency reductions, and water loss estimates, projected environmental and/or regulatory demand flows.
Stage 9 - Supply
Outcome: This stage will seek to determine the District's future supply scenarios as they pertain to land use designations, growth projections, water use trends and environmental & regulatory demands.
Stakeholder involvement: In this stage, stakeholders will provide input on short and long-term planning durations, as well as input regarding slate of reliability and risk considerations and scenarios to be evaluated. Input will also be taken regarding vulnerability and risk process and evaluation. and identified critical supply needs.
Stage 10 – Strategy Options
Outcome: This stage will seek to create a strategy evaluation matrix and develop a suite of strategies.
Stakeholder involvement: In this stage, stakeholders will provide input in the creation of the suite of strategies and strategy evaluation matrix.
Stage 11 – Strategy Evaluation
Outcome: This stage will include the final ranking of strategies.
Stakeholder involvement: In this stage, stakeholders will participate in ranking of strategies.

Outcome: In this stage we seek to develop consensus on a number of considerations including, the PFW planning horizon, frequency of PFW updates, how staff and the Board will utilize the PFW, and to define a clear set of assumptions to be utilized in the modeling of data.
