Water outage: repairs on East Main Street scheduled for tonight, June 10

The Nevada Irrigation District (NID) announced today that it will need to shut down water service tonight to customers on East Main Street, between Sierra College Drive and Hughes Road in Grass Valley, to perform emergency repairs on a broken waterline.
The break happened last evening, and responding District employees were able to temporarily isolate the impacts to only one water customer in the area. Tonight’s repairs require the larger area to be shut down. NID had completed the work by Thursday morning, and water was turned back on at 5 am.
NID chose to do the repairs at night to minimize the impact to the businesses along East Main Street. The District thanks the community for its patience as we work to restore the system.
